| Sometimes a piece of a pattern will be too large to print on one page. When this happens patterns are cut in overlapping pieces. This symbol is used as a guide to align the pattern pieces. Normally they are in groups of three. With two close together and one off to the side. Just line up the symbols and tape the pattern together. | ||||||

Some times pieces have two ways
in witch to cut. These are most often done when the front needs to be open
with the cloaks the fronts and back are the same piece. The difference being
the back is cut on the fold and the fronts are not.
When a pattern piece needs to be cut more than one way it will be written
on the pattern piece along with the a part name for each cut. |
